All That And A Brandy Alexander Lyrics.txt

Intro 1

Hiya Red, how are ya?
Say, I don't need much today
It's such a beautiful day
It's crisp and cold outside
I'd like to do me a little bit of outdoor exercise, sure
Well all I need is a pair of blades
Hey fix the blades, Charlie
All you need are blades
And love
And a martini
Ahh nertz to Rockefeller center
I prefer Wolman Rink
Uh say Red, look at that daisy cream puff pirouetting in the middle of the rink
Think I'll go over there and join her
Say baby if you stop spinning, you get to see me a little clearer
Well a hey nahnee nahnee and a ha cha cha
Who put the chiffon on you there, cumquat?
Oh absolutely
Come on! I'll show you a good time, sure!
How about a triple lutz, and a camel
Speaking of a camel
Got a light for my lucky?

Briceskating

One two three
Yeah yeah, what's up?
This goes out to my main homies at Wolman Rink
My main homie Mike Huetz, on the mac
And myself yo, whatup?
Whatup yo
Not much, aight

I got my skates, 88
A whole day on my plate
And the ice looks great
Gotta date
My baby gots a 89-A style skates
With the shoe shine shoe
And the unscuffed state
With the pom pom gleam
And the cross stitch inseam
You know what I mean jellybean?

Benitez... I'm
Just starting out
I'm far from finitez
This jam is strawberry
And the toast whole wheates
Got a problem with breakfast?
What about some fajitas
That's the kinda dish with the peppers and the meatas
And what you don't like
You don’t have to eat
You just pick it out pick it out pick it out pick it out uh huh

Pick it out, pick it in
To my chagrin
The weather was warm, and the ice gettin thin
There was nothing going on
But some swimming
Yeah, put it in, take it out
I kissed her on da mouth
And told her I loved her in Latin
Right then and there, right then and there
I told her I loved her and I stroked all her hair
Right then and there, right then and there
I told her I loved her and I stroked all her hair
Like all you need is love
Is what Johnny Lennon said
He knew this in the 60's when I was just a kid
Say what?
Baby it's cold outside
Say what?
Baby it's cold outside
It's cold outside
But take a look in my eyes
There's a blanket for two and some french fries
There's a warm cup of soup, and some Sue Bee honey
And a fat fuckin wallet for my money
Yeah

Aight, bet, come on

Say 2 2's in the house
Come on, hear it
I know 2 2's in the house

Let me hear you say cheetah
Say cheetah

Intro 2

You know?
Electric blue is the color of Florida
How do I know?
I've tested it out
I've gone down there in my black tuxedo, didn't work
Went down in my blue one and all the people flocked to me
Instantly
They said sir, are you a travelling man?
I said I'm a travelling man, but I don't have anything to sell
Nothing to sell, except myself
The man looked at me funny
He said sir, I believe we're at odds here
But friend, I don't have any problem with that
Because I believe in individuality
And in Florida, the individuality can all seem a little overwhelming
The palm trees branch out in many different directions
As do peoples lives down there
A lot of people are from New York City
Lot of people are from Akron, Ohio
Some people are from Skokie
Me? I'm a man of the world
There's a lot of talk about a global village
I prefer the global village of Florida

Bat's Taxi

Smooth
Ah yeah
Thanks a lot Barbie
For laying it down like it is man
Like it is man

This song goes out to the yellow Taxi
Mainly, St. Petersburg FLA
Bat's Taxi, man
Bat's Taxi forever, yo

This one also goes out to my man Phil Collins
Man, cuz he knows you can't hurry love baby
So let me sing this one to you:

I'm on the tip like the black bean dip
My taxi moves me like the Love Boat ship does
When I'm right on, I'm the first to admit
That my lyrical presence is slammin'

And I got my cab
And that's all good son
And I got my cab
And that's all good son

Let me sing
Ring a ding ding ding a langa
Slice up the manga
Serve up the pie
The happiness pie
I got mine
I got me the hang of this thing
Yellow cab is singing yabadabadoo
Do it like Danza
Do it like Danzig
The dark chimpanza swings from the mic
Do what he like
Huetz Mike Flintstone Barney Ranza
The workbell rings
I start to sing
Doo wa diddy diddy like Manfred the Manza
Do what I canza
To make ends meata
Throw mama from a train like Danny Devita
Judd Hirsch Reaga, my role model
Got as much good advice
As De Palma’s got the waddle
Super model
They don't cuddle
They too busy swiggin from a 3 liter bottle of
Diet coke
Soap on the rope
Like on Father's Day
Old Spice, big boat
Now I got a paycheck
Citibank account
Gonna buy some presents
With my allowance
Like a toy or something
Or maybe a float
Or maybe a goat
Or a new peacoat
Or maybe some Halls to soothe my throat

I got a hunch that the Brady's bunch
Ali’s punch like the Captain’s Crunch
If I don't get hungry then I don't get lunch
But I get busy

And I got my cab
And that's all good son
And I got my cab
And that's all good son

Wait wait wait one second
I noticed something great
I used the word meata 2 times on this tape
Oh yeah that's a first
I know you're all aware I'm a lyric Einstein E=mc2
How bout this, I'll take your dare
You got my back Barbie Smooth?
Aw yeah
I'll use it again
Use it again?
Yeah I'll put magic word in the jam
Parking meter
Pocket pita
Stallone in Copland stinking up the theater
Stealing some change for a game of pinball
He's a pinball wizard like Elton John
He's in with Bickle, workin for the nickel
Like the Children of the Corn
Got the motherfuckin sickle
Conspiracy Theory got my sister teary
Mel Gibson almost died and it got her bleary
I'm not weary
Got a little theory
Do what you do and do it dearly
Now back to the cab
Back to the back
Back in black like a Marshall stack
Cause I'm a drummer, I love to drum
But now I'm drummin on a microfun
Like Phil Collins take a look at me now
I'll su sussudio if you don't watch out

Cause I gots your backs like the sales got tax
Receive my fax or slip brip brip brip brip
Clarence's sax drives Springsteens axe to thun-der-road

And I got my cab
And that's all good son
And I got my cab
And that's all good son
Cause

I'm on the tip of the black bean dip
My taxi moves me like the Love Boat ship does
When I'm right on, I'm the first to admit
That my lyrical presence is slammin'

And I got my cab
And that's all good son
And we got our cab
And that's all good son

Alright we're gonna send this one out to my man Robbie King down in St. Pete baby
Bat's Taxi forever
Don Cesar in the motherfuckin house ya'll
And treasure island ride the bikes
You know what I'm saying boy?
Peace

Intro 3

Blackout
Blackout in New York City
The unknown!
Suddenly shakes the hand of every denizen in the bustling metropolis
Bustling darker yet, darker still than night
Still dark, still night time
When the sun comes up, the blackout won't be so bad, now will it Red?
Say Red, got a light?

Space Station On The 4, 5 & 6

Alright, cold kickin it live one more time

This one goes out to the space station
Broadway Nassau, NYC, boyee
You know what I’m sayin
You know what I’m sayin
The space station on the 4,5 & 6

Allllllllllright
Allllllllllright
yeah

Space station on the 4,5 & 6
Everyone’s a time traveler
Oh shit, everyone’s a movie

Space station on the 4, 5 & 6
Got fleas and ticks
Like a dog without a white collar
A good knish still costs a dollar
Potato wrapped in a soft gold coating
Hot dogs in the water that they’re floating
I need one fifty to buy a token
I’m feelin’ mean just like Dwight Yokam in Sling Blade
He got hit in the head
I need a little round token really bad
So I ask this man for some change to spare
He started smoking and he burst into thin air
I thought it was an alien invasion
But Broadway/Nassau was always a space station, boy

Yeah.

Space station on the 4,5 & 6
Aerosmith
These guys on a permanent vacation
Aerosmith on a permanent vacation
I can’t believe they on a permanent vacation
I don’t think they’re on a permanent vacation
Cause one day I was at an office at work
And noticed something funny about the front desk clerk
I asked him who he was and he said “walk this way”
What else would Steven Tyler have to say?
He was really embarrassed that I’d known
That when he’s not singing he was answering phones
I said “don’t worry, I still respect you very”
He said, “that guy making copies over there is Joe Perry, boy!”

Space station on the 4, 5 & 6
Wicks and Sticks
You go there to smell the candles
Pretty crazy that you smell the candles
They got lemon and peach and vanilla
They got white ones, pink ones, yella
One day I got a little wild
In the mall when I was a little child
The candle smell was wafting in the air
So I took a bite out of one that was there
It was my favorite flavor coconut
Store manager come kick my butt
Store manager come kick my butt
I swallowed wax and I nearly threw up
I swallowed wax and I nearly threw up
He hit me in the head and he punched me in the gut
So I picked myself up and wiped myself off
Felt a little tickle in my throat and started to cough
Would you know, I tossed up a candle
And spit it in his face like Oscar to Tony Randal, man
Yeah that’s how I handled it, boyee
Ya know what I’m sayin

Because…
Lots of stops on the 4,5 & 6
Take us to the places that you live

Space station on the 4,5 & 6
Todd Weeks is Bix
When he acts he’s known as Bryant
Since young he’s been defiant
Like the time his parents out the house
Threw a party fucked up the couch
Shop teacher came over and fixed it right
His parents came home that very same night

Space station on the 4,5 & 6
Barbie Smooth on the mix
We live in the Boerum Hill hood
July 4th went to Wildwood
Barbie thought he was cool and mature
Him and his woman got this caricature
Don’t get me wrong they make a cute pair
But the artist made him look like Teen Wolf in there

Space station on the 4,5 & 6
Everyone’s a time traveler
Oh shit, everyone’s a movie

Space station on the 4,5 & 6
Halls and Vicks
Soothes your throat and makes your breath fresh
But not as fresh as my music gets

Space station on the 4,5 & 60
All it takes is a buck fifty
Space station on the 4,5 & 60
All it takes is a buck fifty

Lots of stops on the 4,5 & 6
Take us to the places that you live
Lots of stops on the 4,5 & 6
Take us to the places that you live

Like Dwight Yokan boyee
Ya know what I’m sayin boyee
Steven Tyler, boyee
Like I’m sayin, boy
Wicks & Sticks boy
Wherever you wanna go, boyeee
Barbie Smooth on the mix
Barbie Smooth on the mix, boyee
Yo man, what’s up coconut
Store manager come kick my butt yo

Intro 4

Ah bright new day
Think I'll have a cup of coffee
Ah, there's nothing like a cup of mud to ya get goin in the--
Say, I don't think I recognize that fella over there
Why's he looking at me there?
Hmm fine day isn't it friend?
Hmm, scuse me sir, did you hear the latest Eddie Fisher Album?
Yeah, I'm gonna call Red
Ah, hello Red boy
Yeah
Say the other morning I was feeling a little bit bedraggled
Felt like a wet dishrag walking down the street
People were coming up to me saying
You don't have that normal stride like you normally do
That's why we call it normal
You seem abnormal today Red
What's the matter?
You know Red, you and me have been pals a long time right?
Well Red, now, this is kinda hard to say, but
There's something about the way you
Well I don't know what it is Red
There's just some sort of way I can't read you anymore Buddy
Can't read you like a book
Read you like I once could
What is it Red?
Is it a problem with the gal?
Has your draft card come up?
What's the matter?
Do your tea rations no longer serve your purpose?
What's your purpose in life red?
You want to know more and more and more
Red, knowledge isn't the answer
You can know every little bit of trivia in the book
Why You can even go on a quiz show and flaunt it
But that's not really gonna tell you about the truth in life
The truth in life red, is found at one place in life and one place only
That's the Algonquin!
Where they serve martinis from 5 to 7 for 50 cents a piece
50 cents a pop and you're feeling swell
Bring a gal with ya, and you get her in for free
Walk out with her and it's 23 skidoo for all of us there Red
Ha ha ha ha

Intro 5

Say Red this Fourth of July what do you say you and I shoot off a few bottle rockets
Sure sure sure, I just figured I'll empty one of my bottles of Tanqueray
And we've uh got the bottle
You bring the rockets, what do you say?
Uh, actually Red, I'm a little short
Maybe you could bring the Tanqueray also
Great, aw say you're a swell kid, absolutely
Ta ta
Ah hahaha

At The Barbeque

Cold chillin
Yeah
Summer Summer Summer
Is my rhyme
Where you're going Father Time
What you doing eating chicken fingers stickin
Sun it shines
What's that mom
What you sayin what you say
Is it time
I can't believe it
I must have waited all my life
At least all winter for my right
To do this thing we always do
What's that I thought you knew
It's my families barbeque
Uncle Richard brings the chips
Aunt Elaine she makes the dip
Cousin Brian makes the franks
Little Rollo pulling pranks
Father Donald brings the steak
That mother Audrey has to make
We've got the park for the whole day
Volleyball sun and shade

At the barbeque
Take off our shoes
Got so much to do
Got so much to do
At the barbeque
Take off our shoes
At the barbeque
We got so much to do

Speakin of do
Have I told you about Joe
He's the cousin up to something
Going for the gold
He brings valium pies to the barbeque
With the Ex-lax cake and the Scooby Doo
Mixin dirty play with fun
Laughing it off with Rollo and Stums
Go

You hear what i'm saying?

This year little Rollo and joe
Got crazier though
They fed me and Barbie some trick Doritos
Then we started to fly
We went up to the sky
On the tail of a comet
We were sittin on it
Then they took some M-80s
Blew up the grill at the gravys
While we were hanging out
With the alien ladies
Oh the alien ladies
Green glow heads
When you lay them down
On their alien beds
They sing their song
It goes
I just saw somebody that looked just like you
That walked just like you
I thought it was you
I said baby I'm from the planet earth
I've been there since birf, yeah
My vehicle is back in San Diego, CA
Real far away
But now I'm here
To love your space body
And whip out my wallet
And give you space money
To pay for your dinner
At space Mickey D’s
To buy space fries
Quarter Pounder space cheese
Onion rings a space Big Mac
A space Happy Meal
And some money

Intro 6

You know Red, this here corn is pretty tasty
There's a lot you can do with it also
Why, I like popped corn
I like corn on the cob
You could even say I like creamed corn
There's one kind of corn I don't like
And that's baaaaaad jazz man
What'ya say we go jumpin at the woodside
Or shakin at the she-lounge
Or what about jumpin at the jive jive, absolutely
Come on, Red
Let's go down
Let's go cattin' around
Let's paint this town
Electric Brown

Green Green Gold

What's up my man
Tomato, not much guy what up
Well, not much here going on
Except the usual stuff (rough!)
I got a haircut yesterday (at Astor)
I worked all day today (at IMPATH)
I'm going to Boston this weekend (dirty water)
To see my sister and her husband (Eddie)
And you, how you been?
Well, I been alright, eleven
I been hanging here and there (Brooklyn)
Eating apples, peaches, pears, and prunes
Oh yeah? That sounds good (healthy)
Yeah I been eating healthy food
And I've been eating really good
Well I've been eating healthy too
I had a banana and a muffin (breakfast)
And some salad and some stuffing (Thanksgiving)
And some chickpeas and spaghetti (Italian)
With some hummas pita bready (6th Street)
And some lowfat kinda sauce (Weight Watchers)
On my mixed up salad toss (Salad Spinner)
Oh yeah? That sounds great
It was a totally healthy day
But something crazy happened
Tomato, keep on rappin'

Well, after my meal, I started to feel kinda weird (like Marv Albert)
My skin started turning green (Little Sprout)
And my body feeling lean (Kate Moss)
I shrunk to about 2%
And my bones turned into stems
And as my body jilted
I felt myself get wilted
Oh this is beyond belief
Yeah i became a lettuce leaf

I dove into the salad (backflip)
And swam amongst the dressing (Paul Newman’s)
I rode atop a carrot (Lone Ranger)
With the pepper pieces pressing (rotor!)
Up against the side of the bowl
And the chickpeas as good as gold (gold records)
In my ears they started ringing
As the ears of corn start singing
They sang the song of hope
And this is how it goes

I think it's so groovy now that people are finally getting together
I think it's wonderful and that people are finally getting together

I said oh corn oh corn oh corn
I really like that song
I said oh corn oh corn oh corn (corn!)
I really like that song

Oh yeah that corn can sing, ah let me do my thing
I think it's so groovy now that people are finally getting together
I think it's wonderful and that people are finally getting together

So what happened next?
Well I'll tell ya about the rest
I was singing with the corn, but feeling kinda torn (Brooklyn… party)
Because a little basil leaf was starting to flirt with me (Brooklyn… party)
I said hey there little one, I'll kiss you when I'm done (Brooklyn… party)
Singing salad songs, but for now you sing along (Brooklyn… party)

Baby baby, what do you say?
Whisper in my ear
Tell me how much you love me
On a sunny day

Yo man, (who me?)
good grief so didja get on the basil leaf
Well let's just say I tried (really?)
lettuce don't move in stride
But I made it to her hill (way up there)
And tasted chlorophyll (green green gold)
A photosynthesis reaction (green green gold)
Is some prime satisfaction (can’t get no)
My CO2 her H2O
Made the red wine blush
The onion peeled off all it's skin
And jumped the orange crush (BOOM!)

Oh my god, Broccoli Rabe
Oh my god, Broccoli Rabe
Boing
Oh my god, Broccoli Rabe
Oh my god, Broccoli Rabe

Then my leaves start to sprout
The end became my mouth (what’s goin on?)
The stems became my limbs (small, small)
And I felt myself begin (small, small)
To grow back into me (medium, medium)
I sprouted eyes to see (medium, medium)
My body was back to size (bigger, bigger)
From beneath me I heard cries (bigger, waaaaaahhhh!)
Of the helpless vegetables
Damn I crushed the salad bowl
I stepped away to see
The sad plants under me
As they lay there silently
I thought bout basil leaf
And the love she gave me
And the corn sweet melody

It's so groovy now that people are finally getting together
Think it's wonderful and that people are finally getting together

Man that was some ordeal
Barbie it was for real
How did it feel to be a plant
I want to describe it but I can't
Let's just say it's comfortable
On top the salad bowl
Singing with the corn
Come on man, sing their song

I think it's so groovy now that people are finally getting together
I think it's wonderful and that people are finally getting together

Roar, roaaarrrr!
Like the motherfuckin dragon
You can't keep on slackin off
Like the motherfuckin dragon
Things keep on happenin
Like the motherfuckin dragon
Keep on keep on happenin
Like a fuckin fuckin dragon, man
Motherfuckin keep on roaring
Roar, roar, roar, roar roar

Like the motherfuckin dragon, man
Keep on keep on happenin
Like the motherfuckin dragon
Things just keep on happenin
Like the roaring fuckin dragon, man
In the fuckin London

Hang on hang on hang on
Hang on hang on hang on
Hang on hang on hang on
Hang on hang on hang on

Like the moat
And the moat and the castle
And the moat
And the moat and the castle
With a boat
And the Magun
And the dragon
And the things that keep on happenin
Like the roar and the roar and the roar
And the roar and the roar
And the roar and the roar
The fuckin fuckin dragon
And the mother fuckin happenin
With the dragon, with the dragon
Don’t keep draggin
Keep on slackin
Keep on movin, keep on movin, keep on movin, keep on movin
Keep on movin, keep on movin, keep on movin, yo
Whatsup, yo, later.

Closing

I'm heading out of town now
Ah, it's been a swell time seeing ya again old boy
Where am I off to?
Eh, it's hard to say
I'm sort of a wayfaring stranger
Home I may roam
Where is home?
I don't know
Why should I know where my home is, Red?
That I'm just not sure about
But I do know that I'll never forget ya old buddy
Ol Collegian
Ol whale watcher of mine
You're a big bunch of baleen, Red
And I love you for that
And you know that
And we're all going to walk together again someday
When my travels are completed I figure I'll get on a galleon perhaps and circumvent the world
Navigate through uncharted waters, and maybe spend a little time stuck in the Sargasso Sea
I don't know, like one of those little fish
They live there, why can't I?
Say Red I'm going to stay for a couple more nights, is that alright?
Swell!
You're a good kid, Red

Orange Ep Lyrics.txt

Mr. Hanalei

Once there was a place down Hawaii way
Where ya wouldn’t set foot in the light of day
Mr. Hanalei told us all a story
‘bout the burial ground where they buried all the bodies

My grandfather said don’t go there
So I never go
But I’ll show you the way
If you promise to never, ever tell a soul

My grandfather said don’t go there
So I never go
But I’ll show you the way, kids
If you promise to never, ever tell a soul

So we go lookin’ for the road
The path that leads us to the Indian’s cove
Cave, I wonder if we’re safe
Wait, what was that I turn the other way
Zam, my hearts at a thousand BPM
There’s a rustle in the brush was it just the wind
Man, I think we should’ve listened back then
Mr. Hanalei, old medicine man

So we go, deep into the unknown
Damn, it’s dark
Glad I got the duracell man
What’s that, It’s the sound of some people
Howlin’ like the wolves I can’t go in deeper
It’s cold, but I can see somethin’ gleamin’
Gold! Fuck the ghosts screamin’
We each took a couple and ran the fuck away
I’m glad we didn’t listen to Hanalei

Cherry Mountain (Herdin' The Sheep)

I get up in the hills of Cherry Mountain
Pick up my staff then I start counting
Making sure everyone's still in the pen
Then I take a break and start counting again
I'm watching Peter, Jonas, Diana
Ronnie, Jr., and Leanna
Grazing around with smiles abound
Oh I'm so happy with the life I've found

Herdin' the sheep

All day herding the sheep
All day like just in the old days
I'm a Michael Landon protege
No epcot center
No nanuet mall
I've seen a million sheep and I've counted them all
I eat off the land wash it down with a drink
Of fresh spring water from the evian sink
Then take a mountain bath with my mountain girl
After all jerry it's a small world
It's a small world Walt
No need to pout
Cuz I'm coming to atlanta to thaw you out
So you can appear
Like the march of ides
And fix up the movies and all the rides
Cuz they’re not getting your point of view
Yo disney I look up to you
Whether up in the mountains
Or down in the street
See all good people gotta herd the sheep

Herdin' the sheep

All day just puttin it together
So there's meat for the gyros
And wool for the socks and sweaters
The fit in my Birkenstock sandals
And wood for the fire, fire for the candles
That I made some crayons
Yeah put em on a string and melted em
I can use em when they cool down
motherfucker
I'm so happy with the life I'm dealt

Keep it going on
Cuz it's going on
You gotta keep it going on like the king kong

Herdin the sheep
All day I'm freakin
The sheep are speaking
Planning on breaking through the fence and leaving
I've gotta keep my eyes on them
Though they're sleeping
If they leave me I will be weeping

Hey man, get yourself together
Let them all go
It’s for the better

Yeah you’re right, I should’ve listened to Sting
He said everyone you love you've gotta let them string
Everyone you love you've gotta let them sing
Everyone you love you've gotta let them sing
Everyone you love you've gotta let them sing
So put your head to my hand and kiss my ring

Heardin the sheep

Keep it going on
Cuz it's going on
You gotta keep it going on like the king kong

And keep one eye on the spy
Chef boy ar dee, cold ravioli
Got a camera inside, now your face on the telly

Jam

Testify

Fearless Vampire Killers

Well it’s 5 AM, I gotta find myself a cab
I’m way past the point of needin’ it bad
I’ve done my job tonight
I’ve cleaned the streets
I’m gone, I’m safe
I got the relay from the radio on
I got the sun, thank God
And the people who care
And I’ll leave this city when I’ve had it up to here
But there are good things to come
And I remember when
I saw ya last baby
When will I see you again

Well, I remember the time
You know, like it was yesterday
When I was combin’ through the mass of lower Broadway
I had the focus on
And the fire in my eyes
As I was getting closer to the searchlight
Then within a couple seconds the rockets blew off
It was the biggest explosion that I ever saw
When the smoke had settled
I let out a sigh
And sat to catch my breath down by the riverside, yeah

And then the lights came through
And I didn’t move
You were coming through
And I felt the pulse move through my right hand
Cause what I got from you it came from them

Well now I’m here and I can see the sun
And I’m livin’ my life like anyone
And it’s hard to believe in the things you can’t see
But can feel and remember to be totally
And I think this is the future and that was the past
But a part of me doesn’t fully believe that
Cause I know your somewhere
Caught in between
The space behind the sky that hangs above me

Space Station On The 4, 5 & 6

Space station on the 4,5 & 6
Everyone’s a time traveler
Oh shit, everyone’s a movie

Space station on the 4, 5 & 6
Got fleas and ticks
Like a dog without a white collar
A good knish still costs a dollar
Potato wrapped in a soft gold coating
Hot dogs in the water that they’re floating
I need one fifty to buy a token
I’m feelin’ mean just like Dwight Yokam in Sling Blade
He got hit in the head
I need a little round token really bad
So I ask this man for some change to spare
He started smoking and he burst into thin air
I thought it was an alien invasion
But Broadway/Nassau was always a space station, boy
Space station on the 4,5 & 6
Aerosmith
These guys on a permanent vacation
Aerosmith on a permanent vacation
I can’t believe they on a permanent vacation
I don’t think they’re on a permanent vacation
Cause one day I was at an office at work
And noticed something funny about the front desk clerk
I asked him who he was and he said “walk this way”
What else would Steven Tyler have to say?
He was really embarrassed that I’d known
That when he’s not singing he was answering phones
I said “don’t worry, I still respect you very”
He said, “that guy making copies over there is Joe Perry, boy!”

Space station on the 4, 5 & 6
Wicks and Sticks
You go there to smell the candles
Pretty crazy that you smell those candles
They got lemon and peach and vanilla
They got white ones, pink ones, yella
One day I got a little wild
In the mall when I was a little child
The candle smell was wafting in the air
So I took a bite out of one that was there
It was my favorite flavor coconut
Store manager come kick my butt
Store manager come kick my butt
I swallowed wax and I nearly threw up
I swallowed wax and I nearly threw up
He hit me in the head and he punched me in the gut
So I picked myself up and wiped myself off
Felt a little tickle in my throat and started to cough
Would you believe it, I tossed up a candle
And spit it in his face like Oscar to Tony Randal, man
That’s how I handled it

Lots of stops on the 4,5 & 6
Take us to the places that you live

Space station on the 4,5 & 6
Todd Weeks is Bix
When he acts he’s known as Bryant
Since young he’s been defiant
Like the time his parents out the house
Threw a party fucked up the couch
Shop teacher came over and fixed it right
His parents came home that very same night

Space station on the 4,5 & 6
Erra Chris Shaw on the mix
We live in the Boerum Hill hood
July 4th went to Wildwood
Barbie thought he was cool and mature
Him and his woman got this caricature
Don’t get me wrong they make a cute pair
But the artists made him look like Teen Wolf in there

Space station on the 4,5 & 6
Everyone’s a time traveler
Oh shit, everyone’s a movie

Space station on the 4,5 & 6
Halls and Vicks
Soothes your throat and makes your breath fresh
But not as fresh as my music gets

Space station on the 4,5 & 60
All it takes is a buck fifty
Space station on the 4,5 & 60
All it takes is a buck fifty

Lots of stops on the 4,5 & 6
Take us to the places that you live
Lots of stops on the 4,5 & 6
Take us to the places that you live

Alright
Go man go

This for the people of the time
Rock out!

So true
How can I make a wish when my dreams are coming true true true true, true true true true
Come on
Tell me how

Come on make a wish...

Carbondale

Watch out for the freaks
They gonna come and take you away
So run now baby
Run today

They've been planning this thing for weeks
And there's not much that you can say
I heard they're on the streets
And even a part of your day

So run now baby
Run today

I am the fires
Complicate the minors
Mistrust admires
For you
Mistrust the wires
Then you'll sell desires
Give up your tire

Are you there?

There there, there

Ah

Watch out for the freaks
They gonna come and take you away
So run now baby
Run today
Today
Today
Today

In Between

What is meant by living past your day?
What is meant by giving it away?
You can truly be the free
You can truly be with me
But not this way
Not this way

Don't you know you mean the world to me
Don't you know that I'm stronger than I seem
I'm not weak
Can't you see?
I'm always in-between

What is meant by dreaming all the day?
What is in believing all we say?
We can trust all that we speak
We can see what's underneath
But not this way
Not this way

Don't you know you mean the world to me
Don't you know that I'm stronger than I seem
I'm not weak
Can't you see
That I'm always in-between

What is meant by throwing it away?
What is meant by doing what we say?
You can't truly expect me
To go on remembering
Every day
Every day
Every day
Every day

That I have to forget you

The Heater

If you can't stand the heater then you can't stand to cope
Heater!
Out!
Heater!
Out!

Father listen to that though, can you go?

Heater!
Out!
Heater!
Out!

If you can't stand the heater then you can't stand to cope

Heater!
Out!
Heater!
Out!

Father listen to that though, can you go?

If you can't stand the heater then you can't stand to cope

Heater!
Out!
Heater!
Out!

Father listen to that though, can you go?

I need some rock and roll

...

The Black Dove (Demo)

Love is in the air
There are people everywhere
And I am on my bike
Heading straight towards the light
Central Park I'm going
And I bet it's overflowing
I can feel all the life
And it's good to be alive

Spring it's coming
I can see
Sun is brighter than it was last week
Birds are singing
People are glowing
Grass is happy with it's first lawn mowing

Couples are kissing
Everyone's in love
Better watch out for the black dog
Yeah you better watch out for the black dog
Yeah you better watch out for the black dog

Someone told me about the sun
They said it's got some life
There's people living on it
Made of gas and dancing light
Supposed they are friendly
And smarter than we think
They understand the world
And don't care about anything

He said they're called the black dove
And will not bring harm to us
But if they get too close they will burn off what they touch
He told me to believe him, but I do not believe in lies
So I got back on my bike and kept riding to the light

Spring it's coming
I can see
Sun is brighter than it was last week
Birds are singing
People are glowing
Grass is happy with it's first lawn mowing

Couples are kissing
Everyone's in love
Better watch out for the black dog
Yeah you better watch out for the black dog
Yeah you better watch out for the black dog

La la la la la la la la

The Way to the Rain (Demo)

I don't think she'll find a way
Searching for the perfect day
And always looking for a way to the rain
Any minute now aren't they?
Seeing if you've got the way
Going by looking for way to the rain

Moving closer everyday
Taking time to make it pay
All the while I'm looking for a way to the rain
Figuring that you've got it made
Finding out it's not the case
All the while looking for a way to the rain

And the world spins around
Spins around spins around
It'll always spin around
Spin around spin around

You better stand your way from the rain
You're gonna have to stay for the day
No matter what you do or say
You'll see
Sometimes we hold the key to everything

Hold the key to everything
Hold the key to everything
Hold the key to everything
Hold the key to everything

Baby Blue (4-Track Demo)

Baby blue
Cause of you
I'm not blue
Because of you
For a while

Cause of you
I'm not blue
For a while

You can't see me
You can't see me
You can't see me
You can't see me

I'm not there
I'm invisible now and then
Hope you know I care
I'm around
I'm just pushing weight getting through

Baby blue
Cause of you
I'm not blue
Because of you
For a while
Cause of you
I'm not blue
For a while

You can't see me
You can't see me
You can't see me
You can't see me

Baby blue

All the Way Back Home (4-Track Demo)

Running through the streets without the time for names
Running from the roots of heart to mind, the veins
The veins
The veins

Honest folks that all you want is to play
Self righteous believer aren't we all the same?
Come on
You say
You say

Ooh
Rise for me and go it alone
Show me you can make it your own
Rise for me and go it alone
Prove to me my feelings are wrong

Yeah get it all
Yeah get it all
All the way back home

Running with the baggage that you have to save face
Better let em' show em' what you like, a shame
The shame
The shame

Ooh
Rise for me and go it alone
Show me you can make it your own
Rise for me and go it alone
Prove to me my feelings are wrong

Yeah get it on
Yeah get it on
All the way back home

Home
Home

Upwards (4-Track Demo)

I see that
I see this
It's funny how we think we're all above it
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Can't believe it
I can't believe it
You've got it all together
Give up what you got him
Are you ready?
Said are you ready?
You're gonna get it no matter what you say yeah

Yeah, yeah, yeah

All live, all the time
Been watching you
Know you gotta move
Move forwards, upwards towards tomorrow
You've gone too far, oh
There's no time for time you're wasting
Can't stand to sit and watch you follow
Why do you follow them?

You don't feel right
You don't feel it
Why don't you show us what you've got
So we can see it
Who are you open to?
Who are you open too?
Is this just what I've got to see
It all has come to
Yeah, yeah, yeah

All my life
All the time
Been watching you
You've got to move

Move forwards, upwards towards tomorrow
You've got to follow
There's no time for time you're wasting
Can't stand to sit and watch you follow
Look what you've got, get it away!
Look what you've got, get it away!
Look what you've got, get it away!
Away, away, away, away!

Symphony (4-Track Demo)

[Instrumental]

The Lizard's Gone Down (4-Track Demo)

The lizards down now
And you're never gonna get it
The lizards down now
And you never will regret it
He's gone far down
Underground beneath your head
You better watch out
Or he's gonna wake again real soon

Real soon
Real soon
Real soon

The lizards down now
But you know can't forget it
You can't forget the sound
Of the banging in your head
The lizards gone now
But will not want to upset it
You better watch out
Or he's gonna wake again

Real soon
Real soon
Real soon

All you can forget
The lizards out now
You're never gonna get it
The lizards down now
You never will regret it
He's gone for now
He's gonna wake again

Real soon
Real soon
Real soon

Knocked Down (4-Track Demo)

Knocked down me now
Knocked down me
Knocked down me now
Yeah you knocked down me
And I'm not gonna stand it now
No I won't let it be
You know I'm not gonna stand it now
You know I can't let it be

You knocked down me now
You knocked down me
You knocked down me now
You knocked down me

And I'm not gonna stand it now
You know I won't let it be
No I'm not gonna stand it now
I can't let it be

All through the day
All through the day
There's no other way
To say that's all
You're gonna find it coming back, back
You're gonna find it coming back, yeah
You're gonna find it coming back, back
You're gonna find it coming back, yeah

You're gonna find it coming back, back
You're gonna find it coming back, yeah
You're gonna find it coming back, back
You're gonna find it coming back, yeah

You're gonna find it coming back, back
You're gonna find it coming back, yeah
You're gonna find it coming back, back
You're gonna find it coming back, yeah

You Are The Best Lyrics.txt

Zen Magic Marker

Virgin sand
Magic land
Mysterious idol from the orient
Open the shell, the pearl
Don’t hurt him or you’re gonna fuck up your world

Volcano, president
Lava flowing on the residents
Pompeii, stone people
Pink Floyd rockin’ the world

Sukiyaki, soup
Chicken, vegetables and noodles
You know tofu?
It’s the truth
It looks like cheese but it’s good for you
Come on

Seaside Heights, New Jersey
I picked up a hermit crab
He bit me, Danny
Then ran back into his shell

Good luck, fortune
Many years of happiness to come
Skee ball, prizes
Lights all flashing you’ve won

I am a winner, game of life
Yeah I am lucky to be here
One in a million, chance
That I was faster than the sperm

Egg, omelet
Ham and cheese, hash brown
You can’t stop it, the rocket
Is gonna fuckin’ mow your ass down
Sing it

Don’t you stop rockin’, kickin’ and stompin’
Go on for the gold
If you hit bottom, don’t let then stop ya
Love is in the world
In the world

Rock n' Roll Jubilee

There’s a feeling that’s moving all through the land
You can sit and watch or you can choose to stand
Life is changin’ something’s gonna give
I got the need to love, I got the need to live

I was walking down the street looking to the sky
Thinkin’ ‘bout the people, the passers by
I got on a bus and I dropped some change
This dude picks it up and says have a nice day
I said thanks, man
This dude was friendly
I then ran into my girl Cold Wendy
I told her how everyone was bein’ real
How the world was changing from what we feel

You got the flowers growin’ up the west side
The buildings shinin’ on the east side
The lovelight burnin’ from the inside
Come on

You got the fresh air blowin’ from the outside
The kids all lookin’ to the upside
‘Cause their all comin’ from the right side
Come on

‘Cause we all care
We all care
About you

Remember, love your neighbor and love yourself
Love the money that gives you wealth
So you can buy the things that you want
And help feed the store that you bought them from
‘Cause we all like buying and givin’ hellos
To the people we see at rock shows
It’s a rock n’ roll world where people are jumpin'
So raise your fists and keep on pumpin’

Scary Skull Eyes

I was taken by the hand and lead through the garden of my life
And everyone’s still there even though they cannot share all their time

Walkin' into town around six o’ clock
Cuttin' through the woods behind the Stop and Shop
It’s still light out, so I can see the destination
Same old night, no cause for variation

Don’t mess around with Rockland
Us rich kids got a lot of questions

Oh no it can’t be so, totaled your Vette on River Road
Oh no we didn’t know we all were messing with the scary skull
Oh no it can’t be so, we dodged the bats the whole way home
Oh no we didn’t know we all were messing with the scary skull

I was taken by the hand and lead through the garden of my life

Sittin' on the deck around ten o’ clock
Keepin' it down, don’t want to wake ‘em up
Bug zapper light flicker put the Marley on
How we gonna deal when the summer’s gone?

Oh no it can’t be so, we took that shit when you weren’t home
Oh no we didn’t know we all were messing with the scary skull
Oh no it can’t be so, so much to have so little to show
Oh no we didn’t know we all were messing with the scary skull

Oh no it can’t be so, we hit that station as the morning rose
Oh no we didn’t know we all were messing with the scary skull
Oh no it can’t be so, so far to see but not so far to go
Oh no we didn’t know we all were messing with the scary skull

Billy The Eagle

Walkin’ down the midway, got new feathers
Billy the Eagle got it all together
The people all turn and clap for the man
As he whistles his tune for the judges in the bandstand

Brian shouts “are you ready, set, go!”
And Billy the Eagle gonna start the show

He revs up and prepares to take off
Then all of a sudden he’s off, he’s off
He’s flying all around the stadium night
Droppin’ his magic everywhere in site

As he makes another pass he’s losing his steam
He’s lost his glow in the spotlight beam
But he sprinkles some magic right on to his head
And he does the loop-de-loop as the crowd goes mad

What’s he gonna do? what’s he gonna do now?

For the grand finale comes the ring of fire
With a gasp from the masses he flies up higher
He stands at attention while he waits for the sign
Then salutes the world as he goes for the dive

We sing oh oh oh “are you ready set go!”

Let It Rain

Let it rain all over my dinner, sinner
If this was a race I’d be the winner
If this was a pool I’d be the swimmer
Too bright? turn down the light dimmer
My man Jim we call him Jimmer
Reverend B Ill don’t know the pinner
It’s a small world says Mickey and Minner
Let it rain all over the city

And…
Check your watch for the time
Look at the sky for a sign
Don’t fuck around with the spiny mine
It’ll fuck you back given some time
Let it rain all over my hands
Let it rain all over my band
Let it rain all over the sand
‘Til the tide rolls away the alien man
Let it rain all over the city

Let it rain all over the world, pearl
If this was a tree I’d be the squirrel
Once there was a show called Milton Berle
Old school, like the haggard Merle
Shirley Temple was a little girl
Curlers made her hair curl
Into space the astronauts hurl
Let it rain all over the world

Listen

Fireflies On The 4th Of July

Red red meat vegetarian, king stock broker, king librarian

The planetarium looks like the sky
It’s hard to believe that it’s all inside
Orion’s Belt, Laser Floyd
Field trip on the Fourth of July
Fireworks, people screamin’,
Scared as the dickens, some kids beamin'
I’m just watching all the reactions
All people are mental but control their actions

The sanitarium looks like a house
But you go inside things are crazy and loud
My friend Willie is a nut
He don’t drink beers but he plays with blocks
Did you ever punch someone?
“Did ya get hit back?”
Did you ever steal something?
“Then give it back?”
Well I did once, I robbed a gas station
Five am, the sun was raisin’
Took a hundred dollars with Papa Dave
I met him out back and we drove away
Then started feelin' weird about what we did
So we turned around and we broke back in

Fireflies on the Fourth of July

The cafetorium looks like a stage
But at twelve o clock it’s the lunch lady’s
Bringing milk and the peach flambé
And the coloring books and the Special K
Now it’s time for the skits
“Hey, what ya gonna do?”
I’m gonna pretend I’m the man on the moon
Or maybe a fireman or the president
And get my picture on the cent
The pennies, the nickels, the dimes, the quarters
The ice cream man sells bottled water, sparklers and jelly beans
He puts his truck away on Halloween

Laying On Your Zeets

I hear the sound of the birds flying
I hear the sound of babies crying
I hear the sound of the fishies swimming
I hear the sound of the dogs barking

and all the while, while I’m laying here
I know how much you love me dear
I hear the secrets that you keep when I’m laying on your zeets

I hear the whales swimming in the ocean
I hear the magicians with their potions
I hear the children with their notions
I hear the people and their devotions

I hear the sun as it’s growing the trees
I hear the moon commanding the seas
I hear the honey as it’s made by the bees
I hear the whistle of the blow of the breeze

The Millipede / Who'll Stop The Beggar

To feel the need
The lash of the millipede
The bite, the bleed
The last thing to break
The shake
To feel, to love, to heal
To fight, the real
The real
Don’t you peak now

Don’t you go say, “what do you say?”
Don’t you go pay
What do you pay
What do you know?
I don’t know who’ll stop the beggar
Who’ll stop the beggar

Alligator Swamp

The nights are long and the river sings on through the day
Hot night, southern eye takin’ me home
You know I want to stay
Porch bug fly by, rocking chair, cricket
Sticky, got stuck to the spicket
Fan wings movin’, melody is soothin'
Mama are we movin, I don’t want to move
We don’t got to

Strung lights buzz and the river sings on through the day
Haze sees through the trees, green leaves
You know I want to stay

And the fire brings light to the danger warn
I won’t sleep tonight ‘til the coming storm is
Long gone and the feeling is gone
Long gone and the feeling is gone
Long gone and the feeling is gone for today

Alligator swamp got the blues man on
He’s feeling good and he can cause he should

The Clearing Hole

Hey ho, the breezes blow The seed is spread when the breezes blow The more you live the more you know You can’t stop it though you want to so And you go

Hey ho, the clearing hole You run through fast cause you want to know And once you’ve passed you believe you’ll grow But I ask you now do you think it’s so? Oh, will you go?

Hey ho, the seer shows The heaven highs to the stormy lows But, the sun is light and the moon still glows Don’t look now, you’re not alone So you know

Hey ho, the clearing hole You run through fast cause you need to know And once you’ve passed you believe you’ll grow But, I ask you now do you think it’s so? Oh, will you go?

Cross The Cloud

You got both hands steady on the wheel
And feel you’re set to get the meal
You get a bit, and feed it to the meal
And then feel all set, I bet

I bet you got better now
You cannot be denied
You’ve crossed the cloud
You cannot be denied

You get pushed to the limit by force
Get jolted but gain to stay on course
You got strength pouring out the pores
And feel all set, I bet

You need one good start to pick up the parts
You need one big day to make it your way
You got everywhere to go and you can’t be relying on the empty show

Space Station On The 4, 5 & 6

Space station on the 4,5 & 6
Everyone’s a time traveler
Oh shit, everyone’s a movie

Space station on the 4, 5 & 6
Got fleas and ticks
Like a dog without a white collar
A good knish still costs a dollar
Potato wrapped in a soft gold coating
Hot dogs in the water that they’re floating
I need one fifty to buy a token
I’m feelin’ mean just like Dwight Yokam in Sling Blade
He got hit in the head
I need a little round token really bad
So I ask this man for some change to spare
He started smoking and he burst into thin air
I thought it was an alien invasion
But Broadway/Nassau was always a space station, boy
Space station on the 4,5 & 6
Aerosmith
These guys on a permanent vacation
Aerosmith on a permanent vacation
I can’t believe they on a permanent vacation
I don’t think they’re on a permanent vacation
Cause one day I was at an office at work
And noticed something funny about the front desk clerk
I asked him who he was and he said “walk this way”
What else would Steven Tyler have to say?
He was really embarrassed that I’d known
That when he’s not singing he was answering phones
I said “don’t worry, I still respect you very”
He said, “that guy making copies over there is Joe Perry, boy!”

Space station on the 4, 5 & 6
Wicks and Sticks
You go there to smell the candles
Pretty crazy that you smell those candles
They got lemon and peach and vanilla
They got white ones, pink ones, yella
One day I got a little wild
In the mall when I was a little child
The candle smell was wafting in the air
So I took a bite out of one that was there
It was my favorite flavor coconut
Store manager come kick my butt
Store manager come kick my butt
I swallowed wax and I nearly threw up
I swallowed wax and I nearly threw up
He hit me in the head and he punched me in the gut
So I picked myself up and wiped myself off
Felt a little tickle in my throat and started to cough
Would you believe it, I tossed up a candle
And spit it in his face like Oscar to Tony Randal, man
That’s how I handled it

Lots of stops on the 4,5 & 6
Take you to the places that you live

Space station on the 4,5 & 6
Halls and Vicks
Soothes your throat and makes your breath fresh
But not as fresh as my music gets

The Alligator

I think it was December or mid-November
The sun was looking down on me like a glowing ember
I think it was a Thursday, well, I can’t remember
All I know it was the winter of summer weather
I met an old man with a metal detector
He said his name was Stan, but I heard it was Hector
He was known around town as The Everglade Protector
And he watched over the cities and all the sectors
He told me stories of them droppin' bombs
And of his old lady who had dropped him one
I could tell that he loved her though she was gone
Because he spoke of her so fondly and he smiled upon

He said “do you have the time?”
“It’s a quarter to nine”
“Well, I must be getting on’,
I’ve got to go cross-town,
Towards the seagulls sound, and the freighters,
I must meet the alligator”

I said “alright, man, whatever you say, and I was on my way”

And the wind was blowing sweet warm thoughts across my mind
I was feeling like painting but there were no paints to find
And I’m not really a painter
But as I looked to the sky, I saw a pelican go circling by
He was frozen with his wings held tightly by his side
And with a proud look in his serious eyes
He said, “my son, you’ve got to take a picture of life”
And leave it for the others to remember you by
I said I’ll try but I’m not qualified
He then saluted me, and he waved me goodbye

So I got down on my knees in the sand
And I tried to cry
Because of those words that I recognized
I recognized

So I got down on the beach with my sandy feet
And I pulled my cell phone out from underneath me
I called up Reverend B
And to my disbelief he had the same experience back in New Jersey
He was testing pavement down by Mount Airy
And was stopped in his tracks by the sweet song of a canary
That’s when I knew we had this job to do
That’s the first time I knew we had this job to do

Happy

The radio says I got to flip up the winda
The binda, kneel on my shinda, my kinda
And look out side to the American pride
Everyone is working to improve their stride

Nothing wrong with the freedom
Nothing wrong with the world
I got my home with love and my only girlfriend
She helps me pay the renta, magenta
And the anger that’s pent up, silenta

H for the homebodies
And A, mis amis
P got me pitchin' up my tents for the free
P never poor
But Y oh why can’t everyone just sit and deal one time

The parsley snips and the rosie hippo
Goes flippo when he hears the calypso
Lip-syncho, karyoke in the Okechobee
Ordell Robbie, you know B, you can’t put the homey in the trunk
Or fake the funk
Or play the punk, if you ain’t undercashed like The Clash
And sunk in England in the seventies
This life is heavenly
Come on G you got to take it from me

H for the history
And A appleseed
P got me pissin' in my pants for the free
P soda pop
But Y oh why can’t everyone just sit and deal one time

The radio dial always brings out a smile
Cause my man Gil Bailey can sail me
Hail me, you comet
Never stop it to The Doo Wop Shop it
Don K. Reed, my man, you grew up with me
And the schools that taught me
Even though I fought thee
I still passed my spelling B’s, teach
And retained the information to live in society
I’m livin' and lovin', money

Because H is for the high schools
And the A, ABC’s
P got me pourin' chocolate milk for the free
P all the people
But Y oh why can’t everyone just sit and deal one time

Police Helicopters Over Brooklyn

Some dogs will drink from the fountain
Follow up the mountain
Look at you and pout
Start spoutin shit
I think I need to savor
Do myself a favor
And clean up my face so I can fit

I woke up this morning
With a touch of warning
I should heed the call
Get down to it
I got my life a head of me
This is much to early
Summer's in the air
And it's hotter than it's ever been

I made it down the street to first and thirteenth
And met my ride who helps me think
I got a lot of fears and they got a lot of mine
If I make it through the night I'm gonna be fine
East side, West side, and North and South
When I get to the river I'm cleaning it out
Cause it's hotter than its ever been

So I made it back to the safe of my home
Didn't want to be alone
But I knew I had no choice in it
Now I'm lookin out my window
And their flying really low
Trying hard to make some sense of it
Am I really dreaming
Am I really freaking
Lost my way of speaking through all this
I gotta find a reason to make it through this season
Summer's in the air
And it's hotter than it's ever been

When I get to the river

The Jack-O-Lantern

Peasants open up your presents
Cannot keep your parents waiting up all night
Run your errands
Lessons, study up your lessons
Cannot keep on guessing your entire life
Entire life

The jack-o-lantern's sitting in my window
Watching all the leaves blow
All across the patio
The children underneath the stairs
I don't know if they're really there
Or if I ever want to know the same
It's all the just the same
On a better day

The potion's dosage isn't potent
I still hear the rodents scratching through my wall
It's the ocean
Sea shells, pennies in the deep well
Can you see the church bells in your crystal ball
Your crystal ball

Well the clock is turning, the candle's burning all night
And the shudders shatter and it doesn't matter
The time has come
We've got no time and I'm in the mood tonight
To get out now and know somehow that it's just begun
And do you live, then do you have the right
To do what you want to get what you need
To make it back alright

There Are People in the Clouds

Saturday's for swimming, ice cream and car keys
Must be the transmission so we're not gonna go today
Let's walk to the park and maybe rent a row boat
And eat some cheese-its - you're fucked up. Go.

There are people in the clouds

Friday night's for living, let's go to the movies
Broken leg and limpin so we're not gonna go today
Let's sit and watch the tv and play with the spiders
Come on and burn - fuck it, rock.

What ya gotta know, this is what ya gotta know
The thing about knowing - knowing, knowing, know
Wanna get to know? this is how to know
Then I tell ya no. Yes. No.

Monday's for school, crayons and cookies
Mom says I got symptoms so I'm not gonna go today
Game shows offer promise, I'm gonna spin the big wheel
Maybe lights will flash - there they go, there they go!!

Bomb Me

Bomb me baby, got to push it to the fray
Got me taken with the ssss-shake
Got me shakin' with the words I never say
Ice is breakin' whatcha mmmm-make

You got one for nothing
Two for running
And three for something that I don't even know about
Bomb me

Growin' colder
Gettin' lower
Lawn mower
Run me over

I can't take another day
You got me shakin' don't know what to say
Don't say it, just start it
Blow it all away ya gotta give it to me

Just run home, run home

Dracula Bite

Fresh off the vine
Babies pumping out wine
Drink some more you'll feel fine
Can you taste the divine?

Burnt to a crisp
Bottle rocket in fist
Sparks fly out of your wrist
Can you believe the bliss of this?

Friends rolling all together
Hand holding through the weather
Can you believe the love?

Sparklers light up the summer night sky
And the welling inside
Makes you joyfully cry

Old pirate's cove
Palm trees sway in the flow
Hurricane twister throw
Can you handle the row home?

So, give me a blast of life
Let dracula take the bite
It won't hurt you anymore
It can't hurt you anymore
Your free as a bird inside
You'll fly with the turning tide
And nothing, nothing's worth less the ride

Heat from the flame
Makes you close to insane
Can you handle the pain?
Or do you feel inhumane?

So pick off the tree
Something sweeter to eat
Take a bite and you'll see
You can trust everything

Can you believe the love?

White Dove

Hey, don't snoop around
White dove don't snoop around town
Don't let me down now
Don't do it now
White dove don't snoop around town
You'll let me down

This is what I got to say
Don't look at me that way

I need my rest to be at my best
'Cause tomorrow's gonna be a long one
And maybe the sun will rise
And we'll be alive
To breathe some more fire
You fucking liar

Blown Away

You've come here for my breakfast
You've come here for my toast
You used to bring the sugar now the lump is in your throat
And what is so damn pressing
And what is so damn wrote
I think I got the answer and I think I gotta go

My instincts look out way beyond the seas
And I don't listen, that's why I'm coming clean
And I don't hear, but I'm trying everything
And I can't sleep, but I can dream

The world is glowing and everyone is showing it now
But I don't know and I don't care
Cause I still see you everywhere
My mind is blown away far from you now

You've come here for some focus
You've come here for the show
What once was entertaining now looks just like a joke
And what's with all the talking
Is this how you can cope
With the same old same old every day throw

Watch for the lesson deep in your confession
I know you remember the live's you've been messing

Howling at the Moon

Winds cry, wailing, walls I’ve been scaling, can’t back to settle down
Searching, wearing, my arms are tearing me back to older ground
And all my ghosts are calling
And all their hosts are stalling me

It’s gone too long
Gone too long to get it there

Midnight, bearing, moonlight is staring the past to come back now
I’m not caring, I’m only raring to pack it in the ground
Cause all that’s taught has fallen
And all that’s thought is all in me

Angels praying, morning is raising, we’ve made it through somehow
And that is what’s important
And that is what is calling me

Sometimes

Got up from my fall and wiped up my mind
This time
I tried
At least I'm trying
But the other things
They get to me
And I fall back down

Sometimes
There's a bright white light
In the sky
It's all mine

I feel the wind blow through my head
It soothes
Then moves
On to another
And I'm wondering
When will it get to me again

The Door

Forever fine, going by life
Starting mine, nothing's wrong
Freeing space, understand
We're in place, everyone's at home

The door, we all need more

The sky opened up last night
I cried
Tears of happiness
And I think I felt myself untie
Things that I tied up inside

See what you know, what you long for
What you have, nothing's wrong with wanting more

All too hard to call my own
Covered up so tightly sewn
Now I see what I have known
Bringing peace, bringing me home

Last December

Last december, I found my way to the center
Feeling brave, I felt my way through the dark cave
I met a bad man clutching on to a trash can
Picking through scraps
Taking some bites then puttin em back

I know, I know, I know that this must sound crazy
But when I got to the bottom, everything looked just a little less hazy to me
Just so you know, that's just the way that things go

Last december, I hoped to find something better
I combed the streets, looking for something better to eat
I met a bad man pushing crap at a newstand
Offering ways
Making up plans and taking up days

So I hopped on to a bus
The bus, the bus was filling up
I hoped with all my luck it would be the one I want so much
So just drop me off right here, I'd rather walk the extra block
Don't worry, have no fear
I know my ways, I got my bearings

The Diamond

Look at all the forces, find out what they do
Find out what they like and where they're running to
No rock n' roll is playing on the radio
The devil's on a mission and I wanna know

Miami, Miami, Miami
Whatcha gonna do
Miami, Miami, Miami
Where I'm running to

Hibiscus plants jigglin in the summer wind
200 years older than I've ever been
The cho is getting lumpy in the sweating sun
Your techno mdma buzz is now over and done

Rise,
The Teacher

Rock 'n' Roll Forever

I'm burning
Dead bolts can't keep me in the coffin
I'm often running a fire
And spreading to the hopes of the dire
In need of something the last great day
Is now and fear has washed away
You can't look back
What was is not gonna ever be there

Rock and roll is forever

I'm flying
To the depths and reaches of your mind
You can't be blinded by time
You're sitting on the edge of a landmine
One step to nothing
The last great day
Is now and fear is washed away
You can't look back
What was is not gonna ever be there
Come on

Live by fire
Burn inside you
Cannot waste all the time
Feel the fire
Burn the fire
Rock and roll is your life
Live by fire
Burn inside you
Cannot waste all the time
Feel the fire
Burn the fire
Rock and roll is your life

Rock and roll is forever

Times Square 5:00 A.M.

Cries from the brendom
Tickle my fat
Call my names and you'll never get it back
Sip it from the coffee cup
Sip it like a cat
Call my names and you'll never get it back
Some ice, the freezer
So sickle, direct
Call my names and you'll never get it back
Fickle's in a pickle
Fickle's gonna snap
Call my names and you'll never get it back
My my
I like it better on the other side
A place to hide
I like it better on the other side
It makes me cry

la la la la la la la la
la la la la

Now if I was the king
I'd keep it in a hat
Call my names and you'll never get it back
Looking through the lense telescope uncapped
Call my names and you'll never get it back
The stars all orange, the skies all black
Call my names and you'll never get it back
A rich mans prison
A poor mans shack
Call my names and you'll never get it back

My my
I like it better on the other side
A place to hide
I like it better on the other side
It makes me cry

la la la la la la la la
la la la la

Jumping jacks
Over sidewalk cracks
And flying around
With the bellfree bats
Can't keep me away from the incoming tax
The stabbing backs
And the life of facts

A dawn of the dead
Is a knife for the living
And one handshake gives the gift that keeps on giving
A sliver, a slice, a rip for the ripping
The sunrise lies draw the curtain on the ceilign

My my
I like it better on the other side
A place to hide
I like it better on the other side
It makes me cry

la la la la la la la la
la la la la

I Left

I left
But I came back
So I can hit the sack
I look like death today
but I don't feel that way
Mary had a little cow
but she doesn't want it now

You said
Your eyes were blue
But that is not true
You lay
Your head with me
He hee
He hee

Jack be nimble
Jack be fast
Jack you always come in last

We went
To our rv
But felt intensely
For us it made no sense
So now are our main events

Twinkle twinkle little son
Now just look at what you have done

Done
Done

I left
But I came back
So I can hit the sack
I look like death today
But I don't feel that way

Don't feel that way
Don't feel that way
Don't feel that way

Rejoice Lyrics.txt

Jesse Tenser

Plant the seed and grow the flower
Pick up your thoughts and take a shower
Scrub your brain with antiseptic cleanser
You’ll remember everything you haven’t done
Was it that bad?
Was it sometimes fun?
Did you every think it would come to this?
Is it weighing on you?
Does it still exist?

I want it all but I won’t get it
Hear that voice and try to let it
Take your mind just one more time
You’ll never be right, you’ll never be fine.

Right, you’re right, you should never give up the fight.
But sometimes you have to surrender quietly and go.

All the pride and all the glory gets lost in the need.
It takes you back to selfish acts and just won’t let you be.

Dig

Cause and effect already have me met
And I don’t care just as long as I can get it

Wheels are turning
I am burning
Can’t you see that it’s a part of me?

It’s in the way of the sign
that if you look you will find
Sometimes it’s right in front of you
Sometimes it’s way behind,
Dig.

Listen listen can’t you hear the ringing in your ear
That’s the sound that speaks to you it’s everything you hear

Wheels are turning
I am burning
Can’t you see that it’s a part of me?

I’ve reached a whole new high
A whole new way of life
Sometimes it’s right in front of you
Sometimes it’s way behind,
Dig.

I’m always searching for relations in my random revelations
And when I hide down in my stations when I fall from expectations
You know I’m wishing I could get there
You know I’m wishing I was unaware

You know it seems to me just habit isn’t that unless you’ve had it all
And then you find yourself erratic in the noise and in the static
you know

You see the world turn sparsely over parting
With all the future scars forever darting

Shake The Magic Eight Ball

There are some things you outta know
‘bout the way I’m feeling
Well you know I’m not insane
but there’s things I’m seeing

Shake the magic eight ball
Hate your friends
Right, wrong turn, head on to disaster

I saw the sunrise again
It never gets appealing
When you lost it on the train
I almost hit the ceiling

It’s around, hear the sound
Watch it fall right from the ground
Watch it crumble, watch it break
Watch it move right out of shape
Watch it shimmy, watch it shake
Watch it leave nothing to take away.

Go To Your Room

Go to your room, I’ve had it
And don’t come out ’til seven
I’m tired, you baby
And baby’s supposed to be cute
Your rude and ugly and plenty disrespectful
You take up all of my time
And suck up all of my juice

Is this a question of time?
question of authority?
Is this a question of ability?
Is this a question of love?
I’m hurt, I’m hurt, I’m hurt, I’m hurt

Don’t take out the spoon
Don’t take out the belt
I haven’t got time for anything else
What did I do to deserve this?
What did I do to deserve this?
I’m hurt, I’m hurt, I’m hurt, I’m hurt

Shark in the house
Shark in the house

The Last From Me

Don’t change the locks on me
Don’t call the cops on me
Don’t even worry,
You just heard the last from me

Don’t write your thoughts in stone
Don’t hang up the telephone
I don’t mind being alone
Cause you just heard the last from me

Don’t change the locks on me
Don’t call the cops on me
Don’t even worry,
You just heard the last from me

Don’t write your thoughts in stone
Pick up the telephone
I don’t mind being alone
Cause you just heard the last from me

What did you say?
A little goes a long way,
But a long way away is today
Well I’m not laughing
I’m sitting down crying in my hands
No I’m lyin’, I’m smiling and glad

Ooh, you got me
Ooh Ooh you got me right there
You got me, ya see? You got me this time
You got me
Ooh Ooh you got me right there
You got me, ya see? You got me.

Oh My God

They said she got left for dead
And then they fed me more
There was a letter on the bed
That speaks to me.

Loose bits dribble down on my seat
A satisfaction is guaranteed
A catastrophic calamity
Loosely say one “Amen”
And then one “Oh my God”

They said I should get out of my debt
And then they fed me more
I stand a better chance taking their bets
That speaks to me.

If i was insane the world would be the same
If I was insane they’d say “Oh My God”

They said that the world is gonna end
And then they fed me more
It puts the fear in every man
and everything

You’re little sister thinks he’s the man
My little sister thinks he’s the one.

Don't Walk Me Down That Road

Get up in the morning, brain starts pouring
I can’t stop a minute to think
I called for the appointment and got the disappointment
when you said nothing wrong with me

And then I get that feeling, my heart hits the ceiling
And I can’t find the words to speak
Cause i can see the demons and the other side of being
And i can’t catch my breath to breathe

The wind feels nice on a dangerous night
The forces of evil gently touch my soul
But I won’t go
The floor keeps calling me to come on down
But I’m living my life like I never did before
And I want more

Don’t walk me down that road cause I don’t wanna go
It’s just too tempting if you lead I’ll follow
Don’t lead me down that path
I might never make it back
It’s all too real
It cuts right down to the bone

Went out for the evening, time starts speeding
I’m about to get weak at the knees
My mind starts beating, my heart starts bleeding
And I know that they’re out for me

And then I get that feeling,
Those who were appealing
I know they are the enemy
Cause i can see the demons and the other side of being
And it’s real cause it’s real to me

I'm Not Surprised

Alarm clock rings and the fat lady sings
So what.
Hell freezes over and it’s still not over
So what.
You said you’d never do it
But you did it and you’re mad at yourself
Cause the wagon that you built is the one from which that you fell.

And I’m not surprised
I realize

When you were young you wanted to be a President
A Fireman, an Astronaut, a Doctor, Lawyer and Accountant
Everybody I know isn’t what they wanted to be
Most likely to get married
Most likely to suck seed

You’ve got to open your mind
And look inside

My life didn’t turn out as planned
So I’m going straight to the man
Watch out!

With this dark cloud over my dream
You’re still my tangerine
Watch out!

Rejoicing The Magesty

The cornish hens will be leaving their nest
Not for long
Only to be sent by the hordes through the sky
On the sings of ability
Song for the clear
With destination, determination
We sing their refrain

Trying to get closer to your sweetness
Shine on me sister
Adore, desire, a longing to provide absolution

The colony of pine stand still
To reach for the sky
Held by the roots
The sap reveals its secret
We sing their refrain

Trying to get closer to your sweetness
Nearer to your sweetness, your clearness
Shine on me sister
Adore, desire, a longing to provide
The need to be absolute
Absolution

The salmon regroup
Looking the future
To swim the seas of their destiny
We watch patiently
Waiting for the decision
The leader comes to the surface
Breathing in the dignity
“Our course is set”
“We will breed into the unknown”
We sing their refrain.

Shine on me sister
Adore, desire, a longing to provide
The need to feed
The need to be absolute
Absolution

Rite To Fire

Once I rose above the creaking floor
And opened up the squeaking door
The sun came through and shone ahead to better days

Once I let them out the mouth I got more
I let them go about
I know the words I say will be taken the right way

Can you feel it in your soul?
Can you see it as your told?
Bring it down before you’ve sold your only rite to fire

Once I let them out the mouth I got more
I let them rip about
I know I’m making my way to it closer every day

You can let me go
You know it’s only right for you to take control
You know it’s only right for you to let it go

There is something to be said for everything that’s up ahead
It takes a place for leaving more
To find out what it all is for

The Rooster Says Good Morning

Sunshine reminds me of what I’ve been missing
The time keeps on going on to infinity
And on and on and up and down
And on and on and all around

The rooster says good morning
The rooster says hello
The sun will always rise no matter where you go
The road is never ending
The mountain always high
You’ll never reach the top but you should always try

The waiting never takes forever
See.

A Better Place

Cancel my subscription
The maniac won’t listen
going through transitions and I’m ready for anything
Think of my position
Instead of losing vision
Sight set on a mission and ready for anything now

Ain’t got no time to waste away
I’m feeling better every day
No longer staying in the shade
I want the sun and nothing less
I need a better place

Pardon this incision
But what ya doing wishing
While laying in your prison and waiting for everything
Take this as a given
Nothing comes from sittin’
Thinking that your living while waiting for waiting for everything

Now, you know you outta know this
You know this.

Take the time to drink up your water
Listen up and do what you outta
Pay no mind to what they taught ya
Go and fight for your sons and daughters
Think about what you believe in
You don’t know what you believe in
You just go with whatever’s in season
It doesn’t matter what the reason
It doesn’t matter.

Disappointment Has Come Upon me

Doors are slamming, I’m not standing
Looking up
I cannot see one foot in front of
Help me up
Don’t help me up cause I don’t need

I’m regretting
But I’m betting better things will come to me
I can’t believe I’ve gone this far
Where have I been
Where will I be?

What a waste of time
It just seems like another disappointment has come upon me

Feeling better for the moment
Feeling less bent than I did
But I am fleeting
Thoughts repeating
Over and over and over I hear
“You can’t do it, too much to it”
“Stop before another day goes by”
I try to think of why to and don’t come up with anything

I need some time
The unwilling numbers are pulling under me

All Reality Has Changed / Nosferatu

Yeah, that’s enough
I know when something’s up
But I can’t decide if I should cry or play it tough

It’s in your eyes
It’s in the sky
It’’s everywhere but on your mind
All reality has changed
It’s changing
And I’m left here with mine

Yeah, that’s the look
I’ve seen it before from you
This shit is never ending
I just don’t know what to do

Living Well Lady

“Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Ira Loesser”

You know, if there’s one thing I love besides an audience like yourselves,
I love a lovely lady.

Now you gents out there, I think know what I’m talking about?

“Shit yeah”

This is dedicated to all the lovely ladies out there
that take very good care of themselves
to keep themselves attracted to members of the opposite sex
like myself

This is called ‘Living Well Lady’

Because you’re a woman
Because your a lady
‘Living Well Lady’

Because you’re a donut
Because you’re a lady
‘Living Well Lady’

But you’re such a lovely lady.

The Last From Me (Line Dance Version)

Don’t change the locks on me
Don’t call the cops on me
Don’t even worry,
You just heard the last from me

Don’t write your thoughts in stone
Don’t hang up the telephone
I don’t mind being alone
Cause you just heard the last from me

Don’t change the locks on me
Don’t call the cops on me
Don’t even worry,
You just heard the last from me

Don’t write your thoughts in stone
Pick up the telephone
I don’t mind being alone
Cause you just heard the last from me

What did you say?
A little goes a long way,
But a long way away is today
Well I’m not laughing
I’m sitting down crying in my hands
No I’m lyin’, I’m smiling and glad

Ooh, you got me
Ooh Ooh you got me right there
You got me, ya see? You got me this time
You got me
Ooh Ooh you got me right there
You got me, ya see? You got me.

Safe - “ROCK N’ ROLL IS TRUE EP” (Bonus Rejoice Era EP)

Hope just blew a hole clear through the sky
and the people who thought they'd known,
wondered why their thoughts came rushing to their minds...
it was just a no-show

Heaven-like love be inside
Heaven-like love be in time
exploding life and frame of mind, giving time
we can see safety in your eyes

Parent-child, you know
children, truth should be told
you were all once one of those
what you create is your own
you should know!

We woke up to a different day
some things had changed in so many ways
the sun had shone a different shade
we were afraid

We stretched ourselves across the land
we held ourselves to understand
we held our hands to understand
we did not understand!

With the God inside attained
and all regret passed off to blame
and all self-doubt given to shame
we all realized we were the same
we were safe

Trust - “ROCK N’ ROLL IS TRUE EP” (Bonus Rejoice Era EP)

About resolve, sit in this wash
Oh, the clearance, the clearance
Sun shining down on my existence, this instance
It’s oh so nice and caring, and caring
There’s a light
Oh yeah

All living, breathing
All giving, needing
Life
All that is being
And leaving all inside
Oh yeah

Swimming in this
With all resounding, surrounding
It’s all so nice and caring, and caring
There’s a light

Forest Fire - “ROCK N’ ROLL IS TRUE EP” (Bonus Rejoice Era EP)

What is, will be a haul
That’s all
What next?
What place? Who with?
When? Where?
We move, we sit
We wait, then go again
A nod, a shake, a rest
Arresting.
Seize!
Seize.
All the weight’s on me

A test, accept a vent
Events, a choice
A right
At best a rest
Arresting.
Seize!
Seize.
All the weight’s on me

So… are we going on?
Are we moving on?
Are we going up?
Or are we giving up?

All the weight’s on me

All Is Quiet On The Western Front - “ROCK N’ ROLL IS TRUE EP” (Bonus Rejoice Era EP)

All is quiet on the Western front
Nothing going on but the same old stunts
Given a chance with nothing to say
No point of view, reality

Missing the key, nowhere to be found
All your structure permanently shut down
Spend the day filling up the hole
It’s time take back my rock n roll

The minutes, hours, days, already passed
It’s in your past and you won’t go back
It’s in your power, are you gonna last?
Are you gonna last?

All is quiet on the Western front
Time to say what’s done is done
It’s time to move, and stop ignoring
It’s the millionth time we’ve heard this story

All is quiet on the Western front
It’s time to say what’s done is done

The Active Rock Retro Remix Anthem - “ROCK N’ ROLL IS TRUE EP” (Bonus Rejoice Era EP)

I can’t stand the radio
You got nothing that I wanna know
You played that one two songs ago
And I didn’t like it the first time I heard it
Everyone that I talk to thinks this
It’s up to us to change your ways
It’s such a vicious cycle
It’s such a vicious cycle
Everybody’s comin’ for you

I can’t stand the cable news
You need tragedy to make it true
You’re making me as scared as you
But I think you just want me in front of the TV

It’s so much better in the comfort zone
But somehow we know that it’s not true
No, it’s not true

Well, what we need is peace of mind
When everything around is pointing us away
It’s not like we’re here all the time
But what’s the rush in getting there today

Rock n' Roll Is True - “ROCK N’ ROLL IS TRUE EP” (Bonus Rejoice Era EP)

Have you ever Rock n’ Rolled?
Been banished to your hole?
Been told you can’t come home?
You know, you’re not alone, ask me.

Have you ever been on stage?
Been let out of your cage?
Shaken hands with rage?
You know, you’re not alone, ask me.

There’s a whole world of trouble out there
So go to where you’ll feel most at care
Just get away from the tigers and bears, and the lions
They’re only lyin’ to you
Cause Rock n’ Roll is true
Yeah Rock n’ Roll is true
It’s true! It’s true!
Rock n’ Roll is true!

Have you rocked it in your room
To your favorite tune?
Felt the sonic boom?
You know, you’re not alone, ask me.

Follow The Hollow

There's a place to get away
from all the bangings on the brain

There's a place to get some time
from all the things that hurt your mind

I know you can't believe it's true
I know you won't believe it's true
I think it's time to shed some light
and lift you up out of the night

It's rather dark inside your mind
follow the hollow and crawl out of sight

We're Gonna Build This House

I'll play my led zeppelin for you, baby
come with me and I'll light your cigarette, now baby

ya haven't done a shot since the Yalta Conference,
ya haven't done a shot since Yalta… baby

First we dig it up, then we lay it down
one by one we'll get it done we're gonna build this house

Thank You For All The Flowers

Self-righteous starving actor,
you went to India and brought back a mantra
I can't believe that I listened to that mantra
I couldn't touch you, no one can touch you

Cause you are blessed and the rest of us are messed

Oh thank you for all the flowers
you mean the world to me and to my expectations
you're just too kind for all this adulation
all for my work, my love and dedication

Self-righteous indie-musician,
you changed your name to sound like you've been living
I can't believe that I sat right there and listened
we couldn't touch you, no one can touch you

Cause you are blessed and the rest of us are messed

Don't Make A Sound

Have you seen the vicious, the hungry and delicious? Alright!
Who grant you all your wishes and make you feel malicious? Alright!
And do you trust the liar, the keeper of the fire, who make you pay the price?
You know you can't inspire the cheap to be the buyer,
not unless you ask them twice, alright!

Now are you feeling better, bound in your favorite sweater? Alright!
Your face is getting redder and your hands are getting wetter, alright!
And do you ever tire of the same old coiled wire that can grip just like a vice?
The mountains getting higher, and there's clothes left in the drier,
and the hold's as cold as ice, alright!

Don't make a sound, your head is spinning round
Stare in the clouds and don't ever look back down

Drank Too Much Of The Potion

My boring days are about to end
Every nerve is standing on its end
The witch doctor should apologize,
for the phoenix who had no choice but rise

‘Cause I drank too much of the potion
drank too much of the potion, and I'm sad
Full of strength, confidence, and time
My sights are clear, but my judgment’s blind
take a dive, take a dive my friend
that little voice can save you now and then

Please build me up to be a stronger man
I can handle rollin' with your plan
just a story reveals to me every day
I never would've dreamt it went this way

I Saw It Wrong

You gotta run to the edge then jump in the water
and hold your breath 'til you can't anymore…
then pick up the pieces of your past that you smashed

Just forget about the time, forget about the fable
forget about the dinner getting cold on the table…
then go outside and find your mind

It can't be done, it can't be done
I know today that I saw it wrong
I saw it wrong, I saw it wrong
but it's the same for everyone
yeah, it's the same for everyone

Fucking Disappointment

Oh to feel like "someone", I am not the dumb one
you, my friend, are crossing lines drawn out by something
you know, you got to be in it to grow
Oh you know, you're a fucking disappointment
I'm making my appointment, sir, for 10am
I guess I'll see you then, I'll see you then

Oh to feel entitled, must be so delightful
knowing that you're privileged, not freezing or frigid, or cold
you know you're looking rather old
Oh you know, you're a fucking disappointment
I'm making my appointment, sir, for 10am
I guess I'll see you then, I'll see you then

The Forest Dark and Deep

When your thoughts are asleep
the forest dark and deep
the wind begins to speak
you're far from home

Faces blank seem to stare
then vanish right into the air
were they ever even there?
you're far from home

The past, the dream, is dark and deep
it's fading into far away and dissolving into dust

Afraid of what is unknown
no place to hide in this home
can't look above or below
you're far from home

Is there some kind of light?
that can help see through the fight?
I thought it was already in sight
far from home

where is the innocence, the inner sense, the innocence?

Panic and fear and distrust
taking over all of us
something must give in if it must
we're far from home

What was clean is un-pure
what was known is unsure
nothing seems right anymore
we're far from home

Dream of Seaver

Tell me did you dream, tell me did you dream of seaver
Tell me did you dream, and cry away the night

You don't like women, you say you don't like hanging out
You don't like women, so let's see you twist and shout

Pet Cemetery

Open up the moment and look into the sky, on a starry night
Open up the moment and look into the sky, you'll see me flying by
Oh, I'm so high

Don't walk through the park too much longer after dark
Don't listen to the wind, all the spirits whistling
You think that you are ready,
But you're never ever ready to face the other side of life

Climbing Up That Mountain

Am I the only one that hasn't moved on?
Am I the only one that's running in place?
Am I the only one that hasn't moved on?
Am I the only one that hasn't changed his face?
Am I the only one that's not grown up yet?
Am I the only one not following suit?
Please, tell me, 'cause I want to know
Is there something I should do to change me?
Maybe I will, or maybe I won't,
but right now I'm feeling so alone
Everyone is climbing up that mountain getting old

Am I the only still with a dream?
Or are dreams just things that you can't achieve?

Spritzer - The Crypt E.P.

California, California on my mind
California, you know I’m feeling good about myself

Spritzer, feeling good about my mind
Spritzer, California, ocean on my mind

And I’m learnin’, learnin’ about myself
I can learn from the ocean
And the Spritzer

Spritzer, feeling good about myself
Bubbles, spritzer
Feelin’, feelin’

Learning, learning’ about myself
The spritzer

And my spritzer
Got a lot of things on my mind
California, thinking ‘bout the things I’ve left behind
California, California

Right here in California
With the ocean on m mind
Spritzer
Got the bubbles on my mind

Ferris Wheel - The Crypt E.P.

Flash, flash, your livin' in the past
you keep on clouding things with this and that

Round goes the ferris wheel, no time to stop to think or feel
one ride from what is real, your running out of chances

Tense, tense, you can't forget your friends
well I'd like to think that I am a good friend
Hence, hence, you're making some amends
well I'd like to think that they'd be there 'til the end

Oh I wish you could hear these words
but I know that they'll go unheard
yeah I wish you could hear these words
but I know that they'll go unheard
yeah I know

Spent, spent, your life is not done yet
well I know, but I don't know how to get it set
Sent, sent, you act like you've been spent
well I know, but I don't know how to make the sense

August The 17th - The Crypt E.P.

Summertime, spend some time
Share a line on 2nd and 9th Street
Come with me, walking's free, way downtown

Over night, packaged right
Noah's down the alley on Avenue D
Out of his mind, hopin' to find it, way downtown

How could I forget, August the 17th
Layin' on the mattress, lookin' at the ceiling
How could I forget, August the 17th
Nothin' but future in front of me
How could I forget, with nothing to regret... yet

Summertime, unending night
took me eight days to come back to life
nothing's left, a shell of myself, and I don't care

Don't bother knockin', no one's home
I checked out four hours ago
Breeze is blowing, I am goin’ way downtown

Leave The Day - The Crypt E.P.

Can you take the weight?
Can you take the strain?
Can you take it all away and leave the day?

Can you take the rain?
Can you take the pain?
Can you take it all away and leave the day?

Everything has come to pass
Now it's time to break the glass
Yesterday is in the past
At last is coming fast

Isn't It Nice To Know Your Name - The Crypt E.P.

I can't sit still, I think I need my fill I can't stand up, I think I better stop good things come in batches and holes are made for patches, so can you stitch me up cause I'm shit out of luck

Got people in the city, someone out in Jersey someone better hurry cause the winter's comin' early I think I feel a packet in my leather jacket the smartest people say "isn't it nice to know your name"

So burn, burn, burn as the tables will turn and ride, ride, ride as the cars will collide and burn, burn, burn as the pages will turn away, away

Today is looking great and tomorrow's just a day, and yesterday is gone, but I'm happy it's away got dollars in my pocket and ready for the rocket my bags are all packed up, tell the man to beam me up

I don't know what I'm going after, I try to go slow, but I only get faster everyone thinks that they know everything... admit you know nothing, please just let me think

ooh la la la, ooh la la la

What Would You Do If Somebody Called You A Name? - The Crypt E.P.

What would you do if somebody called you a name?
Would you stand up to him or would you run back in shame?
Because you know the reason he’s doing that is because he’s insecure
And you know that he needs to get help, man
And that fact is for sure

What would do if someone tried to sell you some drugs?
Would you smoke a doobie or would you call him a thug?
Because you know, narcotics are problems, plaguing the streets of today
And you better believe me when I tell you
We’ve gotta get them out of our way

Red Octopus>Pastel Tweed>Red Octopus - The Crypt E.P.

RED OCTOPUS

Red Octopus

PASTEL TWEED

La la la la la la, la la la la la la

Baby let me tell you, baby let me smell you
low tide wigglin' squigglin' all around you

Makin' up a muddy brown stew

It's my newest, it's my caraway seed
and even if you're Jewish, in pastel tweed
in pastel tweed

Baby what a stretchy workout
colonic coffee gets the murk out
doesn't matter baby if you're sixty
eyes are buggin out like a fuckin' pixie

Well all the coke burned outcha now, the bitches smoke
and I don't know where you gone
you take the grains of sand out of my hand now
I seen you on the surf
I stick my nose inside your turf
and I've killed another man now
I killed him again, he was my friend
I killed him again, and then I made love to this man
In pastel tweed
I love you, man.

RED OCTOPUS

Did U Take The Black Car - The Crypt E.P.

Well, well, I didn't hit her
Well, well, I just pushed her, her
What happened the moon go?
What happend the moon,
well, well, I didn't hit her

Well, well, I want food
Well, well, I want peach food, peach food
Well I don't want to have it,
I don't need to want it
I don't want to need it anymore

General scratches his belly and thinks...
Did you take the black car?
Did you take the train?
Did you take the black car?
Did you take the train?
Shelter for you and not for me,
Didn't wanna, didn't wanna to hit her,
well, well I just pushed her
Didn't wanna, didn't wanna to hit her,
well, well I just pushed her
We all want food
We all want peach food
Well I want to, I don't want it, I don't wanna need it
Take the black car, take the black car
did you take the train?
Take the black car, take the black car
did you take the train?
General scratches his belly and thinks
